Mapping Student Journeys to Mental Health Support

2026—

The goal of this project is to better understand how students access and navigate mental health supports offered through Wellness Services at Mount Royal University. The Project Team will use journey mapping as a tool to explore and reflect on the steps a person takes when moving through on-campus mental health services, locating key moments, service touch points, and emotional impacts.

What we learn from this project will help identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improving access to mental health supports at MRU.

This project is a collaboration between faculty and students in the Department of Information Design and a team from Wellness Services at Mount Royal University, including: Dr. Naureen Mumtaz and Dr. Milena Radzikowska (faculty) and Sophie Madsen (2nd year student) and Andrea Le (4th year student) in the Department of Information Design).
